Jagan to appear before CBI court on May 28

The CBI court in Hyderabad has issued summons to Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to appear before it on May 28 in the disproportionate assets case. Twleve others, including IAS officer B P Acharya also have been issued summons.

This came on the same day as the CBI filed the third chargesheet in the same case and today it named Ramky group chairman Ayodhya Rami Reddy as accused number 4 in the case and Ramky Pharma as accused no. 6.

Ramky group was accused of investing 10 crore rupees in Jagathi Publications and in return receiving favours for its project in Visakhapatnam district. IAS officer G Venkatram Reddy, who was then Vice Chairman, Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority has been named as fifth accused.

The bypolls to 18 assembly and one Lok Sabha seats are due in June and what happens to Jagan is certain to cast a shadow over the polling and results in these constituencies.
